Paint Night (Winter Course)

What to expect from this course:

Get creative and have fun exploring COLOUR with artist and coach Catherine Shea.  Using unexpected tools and new techniques, students create their own unique masterpiece learning Catherine’s signature style ‘painting from the gut’ following an easy step by step process.

Students will also learn new ways of colour-mixing and colour contrasting using Catherine’s ‘intuitive colour prediction’ method. No previous experience is necessary to successfully create colourful works of art!

Winter term with focus on current contemporary artists from Columbia, Argentina and Mexico in addition to Canadian and American masters. The course will also include studying works from Catherine's current collections.

Art Supplies Required
4 - 18” x 24” (or larger) canvas or mixed media paper
@6 – 10 acrylic paint colours (titanium white required)
@16oz. jar matte or gloss gel
1” flat brush, medium tipped brush, plastic fork,
cotton swabs, gift card/credit card to use as a painting tools
Palette paper or paint tray or paper plates
Spray bottle – water
